Classic 6 is the low odour fermentation yeast. Specifically formulated to ferment 6 kg (13.2 lb) of sugar across a wide range of temperatures
while still producing a clean tasting spirit.
Classic 6 is best when fermenting either 6kg of Turbo Sugar or Sucrose, or 7Kg of dextrose.
For 6Kg of Sugar or Sucrose:
ABV: 14%
Water Start temperature: 30°C
Air Temperature Range: 15-30°C
Fermentation Time:
9-10 days at 15°C
4-5 days at 30°C
For 7Kg of Dextrose:
ABV%: 15%
Water Start temperature: 30°C
Air Temperature Range: 15-30°C
Fermentation Time:
9-10 days at 15°C
4-5 days at 30°C
Recommendation: It's best to use Turbo Carbon in the fermenter as it will significantly improve the performance of Classic 6 Turbo, followed by a dose of Turbo Clear to ensure a good clear wash goes into your still.
